Game of Unknowns
The “Game of (un)knowns” is based on the fragmented nature of the city of Famagusta, Cyprus. Gathering data from the “Hands-on Famagusta” project, the board of the game resembles the image of the fragmented city. The game departs by the dynamic formation of the enclaves due to political differences, conflicts and natural limits. The “Game of (un)knowns” is about reclaiming the state of emergency in which the city of Famagusta will fall just after the agreement for the island’s reunification, before the beginning of the urban reconstruction process. The game invites the players to grasp in a playfull manner, the hidden agendas of various urban and political actors behind the state of emergency. The aim is to create common interests among the urban actors through the transformation of the voids of different kinds.
