What will be the urban commons of Meridianland?

The “Counter-militarization Action” invites us to re-question the Cypriot military status quo that has produced the UN Buffer Zone, and to imagine the commons of the reunified Cyprus.

 “Meridianland” is the region roughly along the 33rd east meridian (line of longitude), connecting Kyrenia with Larnaca areas passing through Nicosia. The Meridianland will be most probably the outcome of an antagonistic privatized urbanization process stretching across the region. It is already taking place.
